Heart Healing Therapy
Trauma Healing & Emotional Wellbeing

Where trauma is healed, hearts reopen and
life becomes love again
What is Heart Healing Therapy
Heart Healing Therapy is a safe and supportive space to work through emotional pain, stress and trauma that feels too heavy to carry alone. It's an integrated approach that combines trauma-informed therapy, holistic counselling, nervous system support and healing, as well as practical tools and facilitation that help shift old patterns in the brain.
Together, these create real and lasting change, so you feel calmer, lighter and more at ease in yourself, your relationships and improve your overall quality of life.
Why People Come
Many people come to Heart Healing Therapy because they feel:
-
Weighed down by the past and unable to move forward
-
Stuck in repeating patterns or cycles they can't break
-
Anxious, stressed, or unable to relax
-
Disconnected from themselves and/or others
-
Trapped in relationship struggles or loneliness
And often without realising it they are living with a close heart, which can show up as:
-
Finding it hard to trust - themselves, others or let people get close
-
Feeling guarded, distant or emotionally "shut off"
-
Struggling to enjoy love, joy or connection, even when things look good on the outside
-
Keeping busy or distracted to avoid what's underneath
-
Reacting strongly - shutting down, snapping or people pleasing when emotions feel too much

A closed heart protects you from pain, but it also shuts you off from closeness, love, and joy you long for. Healing the heart is about gently softening those protective walls so you can feel safe to open again, safe to be yourself, safe to love openly and safe to live life more fully.

The Approach
Heart Healing Therapy brings together different ways of supporting you:
Trauma-Informed Therapy
This means creating a safe, supportive space where nothing is forced and everything moves at your pace. It's based on understanding trauma impacts on the brain, body, emotions, and relationships and gently working with those patterns so you can heal without being re-triggered or feeling overwhelmed. Instead of asking "what's wrong with you," the focus is on "what happened to you?" and how those experiences still affect you today.
Holistic Counselling
Being heard, seen and understood. Holistic counselling also looks at your experiences from different angles, not just one. Where it is appropriate, we may explore how trauma has been shaped not only by your own past but also by family patterns and dynamics, or intergenerational experiences that were passed down. This wider view helps bring clarity and healing on multiple levels, so change feels more complete and lasting.
Nervous System Support
Trauma and stress lives in the body as much as the mind. Many people find themselves stuck in fight, flight, shutdown or fawn without even realising it. Nervous system support helps your body move out of survival mode and into a calmer, more balanced state. This creates the foundation for healing, because when your body feels safe, your mind can too.
Beliefs and Pattern Change
Old experiences often leave behind deep patterns in the brain, ways of thinking and reacting that feel automatic, even when they no longer serve you. In therapy, we use evidence based techniques that gently rewire these pathways, opening the way for new responses. This isn't about forcing positive thinking but about creating genuine shifts so you can relate to yourself and others differently.
Inner Child and Attachment Repair
The ways we learned to relate as children often follow us into adult life. If your early needs for safety, love or belonging weren't met, it can affect how you see yourself and how safe you feel in relationships now. Inner child and attachment repair works with those early wounds in a compassionate way, so the parts of you that feel small, fearful or unworthy can finally receive the care they needed. As those wounds heal, you can build stronger, heathier connections in the present.
Whole - Person Perspective
Above all, Heart Healing Therapy sees you as a whole person - Mind, body and Soul. Healing isn't just about reducing symptoms; it's about restoring balance and connection across every part of you. This integrated approach means the change you experience aren't just temporary, but become part of who you are and how you live.
What Session Are Like
In session, you'll have space to talk about what feels heavy or challenging and together we will explore the patterns, beliefs, and feeling underneath. I'll bring in tool and facilitations that support your mind, body and soul so you leave, not only feeling more at ease and with insight but also have practical ways to feel calmer and more connected
